Q. Are your gold items solid or plated? A. All of our gold items are either 10 karat or 14 karat solid gold, and are stamped for authenticity. We do not sell gold plated items.
Q. Are your silver items .925 sterling silver? A. Yes, all of our silver line is .925 sterling silver, and is stamped as such.
Q. What is Sterling Silver? A. Silver is a precious metal and, much like gold, is too fine to be utilized in a 100% pure form. To make it durable enough for use in jewelry, pure silver, which has a .999 fineness (99.9%), is often alloyed with small quantities of copper (7.5%). The copper is added to strengthen the silver and the resulting product is .925 sterling silver (92.5%). This alloy is strong enough to be used in jewelry.
Q. What is Rhodium and Rhodium finish? A. Rhodium is a metal that is a member of the platinum family. In its natural state Rhodium is found to be liquid, not solid like platinum. In its liquid state Rhodium can be applied to gold, sterling silver, base metals or other alloys to give it the shiny white surface of platinum but at a fraction of the cost. The rhodium coats gold and silver items to enhance their shine and durability. This metal top layer is usually applied using a process known as electroplating.
Q. Do you sell genuine gemstones or are they cubic zirconia? A. DN Trading, Inc. uses primarily genuine gemstones and semi-precious stones in our gold and silver settings. Items with "created" or Cubic Zirconia stones are always expressely stated as such in the product description.
Q. Do you resize rings? How much do you charge for the service? A. DN Trading, Inc. can custom size most ring orders for a unit fee of $10.00.
Q. What do I do if I received my items damaged? A. While we pride ourselves on providing the very best quality products to you, our valued customer, there are rare instances where a customer might receive an item that has become damaged during the shipping process, possibly resulting in loose stones or dented metal.
